Isle of the Lost Rush

Description

This is a side-scrolling platform runner based on the hit Disney Channel franchise Descendants. Run through the grungy streets of the Isle of the Lost as Mal and her friends for as long as you can. Collect coins and do tricks to earn point bonuses.

• Unlock Mal’s friend by leveling up.
• Use your coins to unlock wicked upgrades.

How to play

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen
    • Select the play button to begin.
    • Select the speaker button on the top right corner to turn the game’s audio on or off.
    • Select the shop button to the lower right of the play button to upgrade your power ups.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your keyboard:
      • Use the up button to jump. Press and hold to flip while jumping.
      • Use the down button to slide.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • With your fingers:
    • Tap on the right side of the screen to jump. Tap and hold to flip.
    • Tap on the left side of the screen to slide.
  • Controls and indicators
    • Top left corner (top down):
      • Distance ran
      • Coins collected
      • Trick counter
    • Top right corner (left to right):
      • Pause button
      • Speaker button
• Game Play
  • Available characters:
    • Mal (available by default)
    • Jay (unlocked at Level 4)
    • Evie (unlocked at Level 7)
    • Carlos (unlocked at Level 10)
  • Basic rules
    • Run for as long as you can.
    • Jump over chasms and onto platforms.
      • To cross greater distances, you must jump and flip at the same time.
      • You must stop a flip with your feet down.
      • Jumping a large distance without flipping will cause you to slide for a brief moment.
    • Slide under narrow gaps.
      • If you don’t slide, you will hit the wall and miss the space.
      • You can also slide to destroy obstacles.
    • Avoid falling or colliding with anything.
  • Tricks
    • Tricks are various actions done while traversing the city:
      • Flipping while jumping
      • Smashing obstacles
      • Grinding through wires
    • They provide a small point bonus each time you do them.
    • Upgrades will increase the score value of each action.
  • Levels
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • To unlock a level, you must finish a set of listed challenges.
    • Finish more levels to unlock new runners.
  • Coins and upgrades
    • Coins
      • Pick up coins as you run; they contribute to your score
      • Use the coins you collected to buy upgrades.
      • Pick up the coin magnet to collect all nearby coins without approaching them for a brief period.
    • Upgrades
      • Upgrades provide a set of benefits for your game.
        • Coin magnet upgrades increase the duration of the magnet’s effects
        • Flip upgrades let you flip faster.
        • Grind speed updates give you a bigger bonus when grinding.
        • Smash multiplier upgrades increase the points you receive when smashing several items at once.
      • Each upgrade costs coins.
      • You can have up to 4 upgrades at once.
  • Scoring
    • The following items influence your score:
      • The distance you ran (times 100)
      • The coins you collects (times 10)
      • The bonuses you receive from tricks
    • You can view your current and best scores on the game over screen.

  • The game is suited for players who like endless runner games.
